Privacy Policy
Last updated August 18, 2026
The Purpose Lab ("we", "us") provides coaching, workshops, and community experiences. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the programs we run through it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, organization, role, location, interests, and anything you choose to write in a form, an inquiry, or a coaching intake.
- Program content. If you work with a coach, we store your intake answers, module responses, journal entries, and session notes so you and your coach can pick up where you left off.
- Account information. If you sign in, we store your account identifier and basic profile details from your sign-in provider.
- Technical information. Standard log data such as browser type and pages visited, plus the signup source and campaign parameters attached to a form submission.
How we use it
- To deliver coaching, workshops, and the experiences you sign up for.
- To send the emails you asked for, such as program updates, event invitations, and reminders.
- To respond to inquiries and provide support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and our programs.
We do not sell your personal information.
Email and your consent
When you join our interest list, you are opting in to occasional email from The Purpose Lab. We record that consent along with the date. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can update your interests or opt out at any time from your email preferences page. Subscribing to Casey Pettit's Substack is a separate signup handled by Substack under its own privacy policy.
Confidentiality of coaching work
What you share in coaching stays between you and your coach. Your reflections, journal entries, and session notes are not shared with your employer or with other participants unless you explicitly choose to share them. Workshop results reported back to an organization are aggregated and anonymized, and we suppress small groups so individual answers cannot be identified.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the business, including hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, video sessions, and the AI services that help summarize and highlight your own material. These providers process information only to provide their service to us.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or relationship with us is active, and afterward only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and its contents.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may unsubscribe from email at any time. To make a request, contact us through the contact page.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers and clients where appropriate.
