The Purpose Lab + The Founder's Hub
The Founder's Hub X The Purpose Lab | Week 4: Ambition on Your Own Terms
What happens when you are still ambitious, but no longer willing to pursue success at any cost? We will explore ambition after exhaustion, the experience of being pulled away from the work you love, and the difference between what you are highly capable of doing and what you feel called to do next. You will leave with a meaningful next step or experiment.
Why this one
What happens when you are still ambitious, but no longer sure you want what your ambition has been pointed toward?
In Ambition on Your Own Terms, we’ll explore what happens when traditional measures of success, more growth, more recognition, more responsibility, no longer feel like enough.
We’ll look at the difference between the work you are good at and the work that actually gives you energy. We’ll ask: What are you being rewarded for that you may no longer want to optimize your life around?
Then we’ll reconsider the scorecards we use to measure success. What mattered five or ten years ago may not be the right measure for the person you are becoming.
This is not about becoming less ambitious. It is about becoming more discerning about what deserves your ambition.
You’ll leave with greater clarity about what you want more of, what you may be ready to stop chasing, and one small experiment for directing your ambition toward something that matters now.
The question is no longer simply, “What can I achieve next?”
It is: “What is worth wanting next?”
